The On Our Own/Singles group plans and conducts activities
for those who are living “on their own”. We welcome all newcomers and
thank those who have participated in the past.
A survey of interests
has led to establishing a database, which allows the planning committee
and members to coordinate activities of interest to the group. Some of
the recent activities include Dining Out and attending performances at
Wolf Trap, local theater groups, and several of the dinner theatres,
local music programs, and pot-luck parties.
We have a happy hour
at the Clubhouse from 4-7PM the first Friday of each month. We meet for
breakfast at IHOP at 9AM on the 2nd Thursday of the month.
And we encourage singles to meet at the Clubhouse for dinner every
Friday night at 5PM (call for reservation).
We also have several
dining-around groups. Groups of six have met this past year for monthly
get-togethers-good food and good conversation.
Planning meetings are
held every other month at 6:30PM in the card room prior to Game Night
which occurs the second Friday of each month at 7 p.m. in the card room.
