      The Heritage Hunt Hikers Club has an ambitious group of hikes planned from July through December.
      We welcome all hikers and walkers to join us on these hikes.
      Membership in the Hiking Club is not required to join our hikes.
      We will meet at the Mansion at 0800 from May thru Nov and 0900 from Nov 'til May. Hikes in the Shenandoah NP will begin at 0730 to allow for travel time. Other time changes will be posted on Channel 3 and via E-mail whenever possible

    • Hiking Information:

      The rain date for weekday hikes is the following day. For Saturday hikes the rain date is the following Monday. If you have any questions about the Heritage Hunt Hikers Club, including the listed hikes, please contact Jim Hannon at (703) 743-5378 or Harry Leach at (703) 743-6066.

      Caution

      Hikers should be aware of the weather conditions and if in doubt about what to bring ask advice.

      Bring and consume plenty of water during summer conditions.

      No changes are expected. However, if any occur we will send out an e-mail broadcast as well as put a notice on channel 18.

      Please be reminded to bring water, a hat, sunscreen, and a snack or lunch as appropriate. You will probably want to wear long pants, especially in heavily wooded areas. Wear comfortable shoes designed for walking or a good pair of hiking boots. Toilet facilities will vary depending upon the site. We will attempt to provide facilities information beforehand so that we can bring appropriate supplies.
